I'm wondering about that! Some spiritualism and hermetic stuff. I was also pinged by some people on plurk for Wardens to be like masons/Templars, etc.

Obscure hermetic orders in general (up to and including making one up yourself) might be a good way to go if you want to focus more on the group aspect, and general spiritualism may work well for magic as a whole in case you want to play faster and looser with the Wardens themselves.
