My immediate thought for how to handle Frisk is to just take their implied backstory and turn them into the standard "slightly-eerie suspected-as-haunted gothic novel orphan". I was considering having them sent to live here with an NPC distant relative, or perhaps a foundling raised in one of the churches? If anyone's in the market for a long-lost cousin or something, I'd be down! (edit: By foundling I don't mean they were abandoned in Lethevale as a baby, just that they wandered into town and were taken in by a church when no other family was available, or something.)

The other character I'm considering is the Doll from Bloodborne, who comes to the town to work as hired help. Anyone here have a character in need of a housekeeper or nanny?

I'm canonblind, but if you want to have the Doll be a nanny, the family in the mansion have a young child? I mean, if there aren't any PCs wanting hired help. :p

That's the most likely option, yeah! Essentially the Doll is a caretaker to the hunter protagonist and takes on a very maternal role with him/her, s having her be anything from a maidservant to a governess would be workable. Her employer wouldn't need to be super affluent, either, I don't think? If anyone is thinking of playing a kid character in need of a guardian, I'm down for that as well.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

You know, I am kind of wondering if Frisk just bumblefucking into Lethevale at game start would be workable, too, because that seems hilariously fitting given the whole premise of Undertale.

Maybe they're being sent to live with a distant relative and they get curious when the carriage is at a stop and HAHA, WHOOPS

YEAH, BASICALLY. Whose child is this. Who is letting their 12 year old piss off into the wilderness and end up in monsterghost town. Why. How.

That's probably what I'm gonna do! Either that or typical "wolves attacked the carriage"/"one of the wheels got busted at a convenient pothole in the road" scenario, and they GTFO'd in the confusion.

Yes, good. I am pretty excited for this idea, because it sounds hysterical. MERCY THE WEREWOLVES, FRISK
